This Privacy Policy describes how Pickey ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you use Pickey websites, customer apps, driver apps, vendor apps, admin tools, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information you provide directly to us, including account details such as name, email address, phone number, profile preferences, dietary needs, allergy notes, business contact information, driver application details, support messages, and files you attach to support or menu workflows.
For customer orders, we collect order details, delivery or pickup details, addresses, event notes, dietary counts, group order information, payments, refunds, and communications with vendors, drivers, and Pickey support.
For drivers, we collect profile and eligibility information, vehicle and delivery capability information, payout preferences, proof-of-delivery content, support messages, and location information while the driver app is being used for delivery workflows. If background location is enabled by the operating system, the driver app may collect location while a delivery is active so Pickey can support dispatch, route progress, customer updates, and safety workflows.
For vendors, we collect business profile information, ownership or claim information, menu and catalog data, pricing, availability, service areas, fulfillment settings, Stripe or payout status, support messages, and uploaded business, menu, or support media.
We also collect information automatically, including device identifiers, push notification tokens, app version, platform, usage logs, diagnostics, approximate location derived from network or device signals, and analytics used to operate, secure, and improve the Platform.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain customer, driver, vendor, and admin accounts
- Process orders, payments, refunds, payouts, delivery dispatch, support tickets, and vendor fulfillment
- Show customers relevant vendors, menus, events, order updates, delivery status, and support history
- Support driver assignment, active delivery tracking, proof of delivery, driver eligibility, and payout workflows
- Support vendor onboarding, menu/catalog management, quote and order fulfillment, business analytics, and finance operations
- Send transactional messages such as account, order, payment, support, safety, and delivery updates
- Send marketing or promotional communications where permitted, and honor marketing email or push opt-outs
- Prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and policy violations
- Debug, improve, and develop Pickey services
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment network, insurance, safety, and regulatory obligations
3. INFORMATION SHARING
We may share your information with:
- Vendors, customers, drivers, planners, and admins as needed to quote, prepare, fulfill, deliver, support, or resolve an order
- Stripe and other payment or payout providers for payment processing, onboarding, dispute handling, fraud prevention, payouts, and financial reporting
- Supabase, hosting, storage, email, push notification, analytics, logging, support, and infrastructure providers that help us operate the Platform
- Legal, accounting, insurance, and compliance advisors where necessary
- Government authorities or law enforcement when required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, or the Platform
4. DATA SECURITY
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Support attachments and proof-of-delivery files are stored in private storage and served through short-lived signed URLs when an authorized user needs access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
5. YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of eligible account data
- Opt out of marketing communications and marketing push notifications where available
- Export your data
- Manage device permissions such as location and push notifications through your device settings
Account deletion may remove or scrub account, profile, support, notification, device token, and preference data. Pickey may retain order, payment, payout, tax, accounting, safety, fraud, dispute, and compliance records when required for legitimate business, legal, or financial reasons. Driver and vendor deletion may revoke access and scrub personal contact details while preserving vendor, order, delivery, payout, and finance records when open obligations remain.
6. LOCATION AND DEVICE PERMISSIONS
Customer and vendor apps may use location or address information to show relevant vendors, calculate delivery availability, or support orders. Driver apps may use active and background location during active delivery workflows. You can disable device permissions, but some features may stop working.
7. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions, secure accounts, remember preferences, analyze usage, and support marketing or communications where permitted.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
